Historically, stir-frying has roots in Chinese cuisine, a technique that emerged during the Han Dynasty, symbolizing efficiency and adaptability. In these turbulent times, reminiscent of both the challenges faced by societies and the resilience of individuals, this dish echoes the blending of flavors and cultures. Just as the past shapes our present, the marriage of fresh produce and tender beef reflects culinary traditions that adapt and thrive. As we stir-fry, we create not only a meal but also a connection to our shared human experience. Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.

  3. In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed and stir-fry the garlic, ginger, and spring onion until fragrant.
  4. Add the bell pepper, carrot, and broccoli to the pan. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, add the cooked noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together until heated through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro.
